Murray Cod - legal length = 55cm to 75cm Murray Cod over 75cm (prohibited fish) may be photographed and registered provided photographs are taken at the immediate location where the fish is landed and that a device to photograph the fish is immediately available. Transporting prohibited fish to be measured is not permitted under NSW Fisheries current policy. Golden Perch (Yellow Belly, Callop) - legal length = 30cm and above.
Carp – to be photographed for the longest Carp. Note: Prizes will be for the longest Carp and NOT Biggest Bag of Carp. (It is the responsbility of the angler to humanely kill the Carp and dispose of It away from the water - The best practice is to bury the dead fish - Bidgee Classic Representatives patrolling the waters can assist you with this process if required)
In the event that two or more anglers catch and record a native fish* of the same winning size, the first fish caught and photographed will be deemed as the winning catch.
Also Note that the Leeton Bidgee Classic Fishing Competition incorporates a 'CITIZEN SCIENCE' Category. Refer to the 'Rules & Regulations' Page for the explanation of Citizen Science and how you can help us and NSW Fisheries collect all important data and statistics during the competition.
9 x $150 Vouchers are up for grabs just for simply telling us if you caught an undersized or protected species, as well as telling us your fishing hours. More information provided upon Registration!
The major raffle consists of the following items:
1st Prize – Quintrex 390 Vinyl Wrapped Outback Explorer with a 25 HP 4-Stroke Yamaha Motor, Full in shore safety kit, 6'Extruded sides, floored and carpet, travel cover, front cast deck, 25L Yamaha Fuel Tank. 2nd Prize – Retro Engel Fridge/Freezer Combo (240V/12V) and includes padded travel bag Valued at $1,399.00 - Supplied by Yenda Producers.
3rd Prize – $500 Voucher at Whitby's Betta Home Living, supported by Betta Electrical.

For each Murray Cod over 55cm and Golden Perch over 30cm that has been photographed, registered and successfully released, will receive one additional ticket per fish in the entry prize. Drawn Sunday 8 March 2020 during the presentations.
